A Day of Prayer and Penance - Respect Life Mass
As Catholics, we should be 100% Pro-Life. Being Pro-Life prompts the following questions:
Do we show respect to all persons regardless of where they are on their journey through life?
Do we especially reverence those in the wombs and those on their death beds?
Do we have compassion for those who find themselves in the seemingly never-ending spiral of poverty and injustice?
Do we help to make the world environment a better place that is conducive to good health and living?
This week we especially focus our attention on the unborn and pray for an end to abortion.
Tuesday, January 22nd is 46 years since the United States Supreme Court decision was made concerning abortion.
A Day of Prayer and Penance is to be observed for the disregard shown toward human life through abortion!
In observance of the National Day of Penance and Prayer for Life, Catholics across the country will pray in penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion and for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life, from conception to natural death.
