Catholic Schools Week Begins

This last week of January is an annual opportunity to recognize and acknowledge the ministry of our Catholic schools here in the United States.

Our Catholic School system extends throughout the nation  in urban and rural areas;  Catholic schools originated over two hundred years ago and still are vibrant.

Many religious communities and now especially the laity staff these excellent schools.

Our parish of St. Augustine together with four other parishes of the area (St. Florian, Holy Assumption, Mother of Perpetual Help and St. Rita) sponsor our Mary Queen of Saints Catholic Academy which is part of the Archdiocesan Seton School Network.

The school excels in many ways with an enrollment of 210.

Enrollment for the coming school year of 2019-2020 begins with Catholic Schools Week.

Various activities are planned at the school itself for students, families, teachers and staff.

Open House and registration on Tuesday, January 29th, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

All are invited to this Open House, and parents may inquire about the possibility of tuition breaks.

Spread the word to others who have children; K-3, K-4, K-5, and grades 1 through 8.

Visit the school on S. 92nd St. & W. Greenfield Ave., call 414-476-0751 or view their website at — inquire about our school!

Thanks to our parishioners who have been very generous in supporting our area Catholic school in many ways.

We are preparing our children to be informed and practicing Catholics as well as good citizens.
